India, Bangladesh Hold Trade and Visa Talks Amidst Diplomatic Efforts

India and Bangladesh are working to normalize ties by arranging meetings for institutional mechanisms on trade and consular affairs. A Bangladesh team is scheduled to visit New Delhi for a joint working group meeting on trade from October 8-9, with discussions also underway for a consular matters meeting hosted by Dhaka. These efforts aim to restore normalcy to bilateral relations, which reached a low after a change in government in August 2024.

भारत और बांग्लादेश व्यापार और कांसुलर मामलों पर संस्थागत तंत्र के लिए बैठकें आयोजित करके संबंधों को सामान्य बनाने के लिए काम कर रहे हैं। 8-9 अक्टूबर से व्यापार पर संयुक्त कार्य समूह की बैठक के लिए एक बांग्लादेशी टीम नई दिल्ली का दौरा करने वाली है, साथ ही ढाका द्वारा आयोजित कांसुलर मामलों की बैठक के लिए भी चर्चा चल रही है। इन प्रयासों का उद्देश्य अगस्त 2024 में सरकार बदलने के बाद द्विपक्षीय संबंधों में आई गिरावट को सामान्य करना है।
