Tamil Nadu Child Street Policy Not Implemented

Activists have stated that Tamil Nadu has yet to implement its Child Street Situation Policy, despite having 10,674 children living on the streets. The policy, designed to identify, protect, and rehabilitate these vulnerable children, reportedly remains only on paper. This lack of implementation raises serious concerns about the safety and well-being of thousands of children who are currently without adequate support systems and protection.

तमिलनाडु में 10,674 बच्चे सड़कों पर रह रहे हैं, लेकिन एक्टिविस्ट्स का कहना है कि सरकार ने अभी तक अपनी 'चाइल्ड स्ट्रीट सिचुएशन पॉलिसी' लागू नहीं की है। इस पॉलिसी का मकसद ऐसे बच्चों की पहचान करना, उनकी सुरक्षा करना और उन्हें फिर से जीवन में स्थापित करना है। यह सिर्फ कागजों में ही रह गई है, जिससे इन बेसहारा बच्चों की सुरक्षा और भलाई पर गंभीर सवाल उठ रहे हैं।
