A man in Gujarat's Kheda district allegedly murdered his 13-week pregnant wife, Aruna, by forcing toxic Nano Urea into her mouth. The victim had complained of severe stomach pain, but her husband, Mitul, ignored her pleas to go to the doctor. Instead, he searched online about legal consequences for spousal suicide. The family then allegedly bound her hands and feet, gagged her, and administered the poison, leading to her death and that of her unborn child. They attempted to stage the scene as a suicide by hanging the body.
