YLA Seizes 10 Unregistered Trucks in Mizoram Suspected of Smuggling to Myanmar

Volunteers of the Young Lai Association (YLA) in Lawngtlai, Mizoram, seized 10 unregistered trucks on Tuesday. The vehicles were suspected of being prepared for smuggling to Myanmar, where new vehicles fetch higher prices. Purchased from Aizawl, the trucks were intended for registration using local documents before illegal export. This action follows a directive from Deputy Commissioner Donny Lalruatsanga to maintain vigilance against vehicle theft and illegal export. The YLA, a key civil society group in the border district, is actively involved in preventing such activities.

मिजोरम के लॉंगत्लई में यंग लाई एसोसिएशन (YLA) के वालंटियर्स ने मंगलवार को 10 बिना रजिस्ट्रेशन वाले ट्रक जब्त किए। शक है कि इन गाड़ियों को म्यांमार तस्करी के लिए तैयार किया जा रहा था, जहाँ नए वाहनों की कीमत ज़्यादा मिलती है। आइज़ोल से खरीदे गए इन ट्रकों को अवैध निर्यात से पहले स्थानीय कागज़ातों से रजिस्टर कराने का इरादा था। यह कार्रवाई डिप्टी कमिश्नर Donny Lalruatsanga के वाहन चोरी और अवैध निर्यात के खिलाफ सतर्क रहने के निर्देश के बाद हुई है। सीमावर्ती जिले के एक प्रमुख नागरिक समाज समूह YLA, ऐसी गतिविधियों को रोकने में सक्रिय रूप से शामिल है।
