कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग को लेकर 10 अक्टूबर को दिल्ली में शांतिपूर्ण विरोध प्रदर्शन का आह्वान किया है। CJP के संस्थापक अभिजीत दीपके ने कहा कि निष्पक्ष चुनाव चाहने वाले नागरिकों को कुमार के पद छोड़ने की स्थिति में जंतर मंतर में आंदोलन में शामिल होना चाहिए। पार्टी ने अपनी मांग के कारणों के रूप में चुनावी प्रक्रियाओं और विशेष गहन संशोधन अभ्यास में कथित अनियमितताओं का हवाला दिया। यह मुंबई में हुए इसी तरह के विरोध प्रदर्शन के बाद हुआ है, जहां पुलिस की पाबंदियों के बावजूद हजारों लोग इकट्ठा हुए थे।
