Russia Warns US Sanctions Will Hinder Ukraine Peace

Russia has warned that new US sanctions, passed by the House of Representatives, will complicate efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the legislation an unfriendly action. The bill, named the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, targets Russia's energy and defence sectors. It also allows tariffs on countries buying Russian oil and gas.
