The Calcutta High Court has ordered police protection for an interfaith couple from Nadia’s Nabadwip who were forced to postpone their wedding. The couple, a Muslim man and a Hindu woman, alleged that a mob of around 45 people, identifying as Bajrang Dal and Durga Bahini members, stormed the woman's home two days before their July 29 wedding. The mob allegedly threatened the family, assaulted the mother, and forced them to sign blank pages.
