Delhi's New Traffic System to Track Stolen Vehicles and Detect Accidents

Delhi's proposed Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) will provide real-time road views for traffic police, aiding in tracking stolen vehicles after FIR registration. The system will also generate alerts for accidents, traffic jams, and slow-moving road stretches. Integrated with CCTNS, e-Sarathi, and VAHAN platforms, ITMS aims to anticipate stolen vehicle movements and enable quicker responses. This initiative, planned in three phases, includes over 2,500 cameras and aims to enhance traffic management and enforcement through a central command centre.

दिल्ली का प्रस्तावित इंटेलिजेंट ट्रैफिक मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम (ITMS) ट्रैफिक पुलिस को रियल-टाइम रोड व्यू देगा, जिससे FIR दर्ज होने के बाद चोरी हुई गाड़ियों को ट्रैक करने में मदद मिलेगी। यह सिस्टम एक्सीडेंट, ट्रैफिक जाम और धीमी गति वाले रोड स्ट्रेच के लिए अलर्ट भी जनरेट करेगा। CCTNS, ई-सारथी और VAHAN प्लेटफॉर्म के साथ इंटीग्रेटेड, ITMS चोरी हुई गाड़ियों की आवाजाही का अनुमान लगाने और तेज़ प्रतिक्रिया देने में सक्षम बनाने का लक्ष्य रखता है। तीन चरणों में नियोजित इस पहल में 2,500 से ज़्यादा कैमरे शामिल हैं और इसका लक्ष्य एक सेंट्रल कमांड सेंटर के ज़रिए ट्रैफिक मैनेजमेंट और प्रवर्तन को बेहतर बनाना है।
