Rs 843 Crore Bogus Political Donations Racket Busted; Nine Booked

Gujarat CID (Crime) has booked nine individuals, including political figures and chartered accountants, in connection with an alleged Rs 843-crore tax deduction racket. The Aam Janmat Party was reportedly used as a front to route funds, allowing donors to fraudulently claim tax deductions. This scheme allegedly caused a loss of over Rs 250 crore to the government exchequer. Investigators found the party engaged in minimal genuine political activity, primarily generating bogus financial records and fabricating expenses.

गुजरात CID (Crime) ने कथित तौर पर 843 करोड़ रुपये के टैक्स कटौती रैकेट के संबंध में राजनेताओं और चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट सहित नौ लोगों पर केस दर्ज किया है। कथित तौर पर 'आम जनमत पार्टी' का इस्तेमाल फंड को रूट करने के लिए एक फ्रंट के रूप में किया गया, जिससे दानदाताओं को धोखाधड़ी से टैक्स कटौती का दावा करने की अनुमति मिली। इस योजना से सरकारी खजाने को 250 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक का नुकसान हुआ। जांचकर्ताओं ने पाया कि पार्टी ने न्यूनतम वास्तविक राजनीतिक गतिविधि की, मुख्य रूप से फर्जी वित्तीय रिकॉर्ड तैयार किए और खर्चों को गढ़ा।
