LPG Supply Adequate, No Shortage: Union Minister

Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has assured the public that there is no shortage of LPG cylinders, dismissing rumours fueled by the Middle East conflict. He stated that domestic production has been significantly increased from 34,000 to 56,000 tonnes daily to meet demand. Puri explained that temporary restrictions were imposed to prevent hoarding and black marketing, citing a surge in daily cylinder bookings from 52 lakh to 90 lakh due to panic buying.

पेट्रोलियम मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने कहा है कि एलपीजी सिलेंडरों की कोई कमी नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि घरेलू उत्पादन 34,000 से बढ़ाकर 56,000 टन रोज़ कर दिया गया है। मंत्री ने बताया कि कुछ लोग घबराहट में ज़्यादा बुकिंग कर रहे थे, जिससे रोज़ाना बुकिंग 52 लाख से 90 लाख हो गई थी। कालाबाज़ारी रोकने के लिए अस्थायी रोक लगाई गई थी।
