Residents of Bayalu Basaveshwara Nagar and Kommaghatta Phase 1 in western Bengaluru are facing safety issues due to non-operational streetlights on a key connecting road. The 500-metre stretch of Bayalu Basaveshwara Nagar Main Road, which links various phases of the Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda Layout, is unlit and has become a garbage dumping hotspot. BDA has stated the stretch falls under Sulikere Panchayat limits, but the panchayat claims it lacks jurisdiction. This ambiguity is delaying essential repairs and posing risks to commuters and residents.

पश्चिमी बेंगलुरु के बायलु बसवेश्वर नगर और कोमघट्टा फेज 1 के निवासी एक मुख्य जोड़ने वाली सड़क पर स्ट्रीटलाइटों के बंद होने से सुरक्षा संबंधी समस्याओं का सामना कर रहे हैं। नदप्रभु केंपेगौड़ा लेआउट के विभिन्न चरणों को जोड़ने वाली बायलु बसवेश्वर नगर मेन रोड का 500 मीटर का हिस्सा, अंधेरा है और कूड़ा फेंकने का अड्डा बन गया है। BDA ने कहा है कि यह हिस्सा सुलिकेरे पंचायत की सीमा में आता है, लेकिन पंचायत का दावा है कि उसके पास अधिकार क्षेत्र नहीं है। यह अस्पष्टता आवश्यक मरम्मत में देरी कर रही है और यात्रियों और निवासियों के लिए जोखिम पैदा कर रही है।
