US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has described the alleged bomb plot targeting Britain's RAF Fairford airbase as a very serious matter. In an interview, Rubio suggested a foreign power was involved in the conspiracy, though he declined to name any specific country or provide evidence. Five British individuals were detained in connection with the incident near the airbase, which is used by both UK and US forces and was previously used for strikes against Iran. Rubio also issued a warning to Iran regarding threats against US interests.
