4 Civilians Killed Near Manipur Border

The bullet-riddled bodies of four Tangkhul Naga civilians were recovered on Friday near the India-Myanmar border in Manipur's Kamjong district. They were allegedly shot by members of the Myanmar-based Kuki National Army-Burma (KNA-B). Local MLA L Keishing alleged militants from Myanmar attacked villagers, killing unarmed civilians. Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh condemned the killings, stating such violence will not be tolerated. A suo motu case has been registered, and calls have been made to strengthen border security.
