Delhi experienced its coldest night of the month on Monday, with the minimum temperature at Safdarjung weather station dropping to 17.1 degrees Celsius, 1.3 degrees below the seasonal average. The city's air quality is currently in the 'moderate' category, but forecasts predict it will deteriorate to 'poor' levels from October 21. Unfavourable meteorological conditions, including low ventilation index and slow wind speeds, are expected to hinder pollutant dispersal. Satellite data also indicated stubble-burning events in neighbouring states, contributing to potential air pollution.
