The court made this remark while granting protection to a couple who had divorced by mutual consent due to trivial disputes and subsequently remarried. The bench noted that this situation, especially with two children involved, was regrettable. The court affirmed the couple's right to live peacefully, citing a Supreme Court judgment that an adult is free to marry a person of their choice without harassment.

इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट ने कहा है कि शादी को हल्के में नहीं लेना चाहिए और इस संस्था की पवित्रता पर जोर दिया। कोर्ट ने यह टिप्पणी आपसी सहमति से तलाक लेकर दोबारा शादी करने वाले एक जोड़े को सुरक्षा देते हुए की, जो मामूली झगड़ों के कारण अलग हुए थे। बेंच ने कहा कि यह स्थिति, खासकर जब दो बच्चे शामिल हों, खेदजनक है। कोर्ट ने जोड़े के शांति से रहने के अधिकार की पुष्टि की और Supreme Court के एक फैसले का हवाला दिया जिसमें कहा गया है कि एक वयस्क अपनी पसंद के व्यक्ति से बिना किसी उत्पीड़न के शादी करने के लिए स्वतंत्र है।
