Society Must Support Families of Police Martyrs, Says Deputy Commissioner

Deputy Commissioner Rahul Pandve emphasized the need for societal support for families of police martyrs during Police Commemoration Day in Yadgir. He stated that the sacrifices of police personnel in the line of duty will always be remembered. Superintendent of Police Pruthvik Shankar read out the roll of honour, recalling the origins of the day and noting that 154 personnel died between September 2025 and August 2026, including five from Karnataka. The event saw floral tributes paid to fallen officers.

डिप्टी कमिश्नर राहुल पांडवे ने यादगीर में पुलिस स्मरणोत्सव दिवस के दौरान पुलिस शहीदों के परिवारों के लिए सामाजिक समर्थन की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि ड्यूटी के दौरान पुलिसकर्मियों के बलिदान को हमेशा याद रखा जाएगा। पुलिस अधीक्षक पृथ्वीक शंकर ने सम्मान सूची पढ़ी, दिन की उत्पत्ति को याद किया और बताया कि 2025 सितंबर से 2026 अगस्त के बीच 154 कर्मियों की मृत्यु हुई, जिनमें कर्नाटक के पांच शामिल थे। इस कार्यक्रम में शहीद अधिकारियों को पुष्पांजलि अर्पित की गई।
