Food safety officials in Visakhapatnam conducted extensive inspections of hotels and restaurants on Thursday night, uncovering significant hygiene violations. At Kamath Hotel, approximately 60 kg of improperly stored chicken was destroyed, and the kitchen was sealed due to unhygienic conditions. Similar actions, including the destruction of chicken and sealing of kitchens, were taken at Pista House, Alpha Hotel, and Fusion Foods. Eastern Spice Restaurant also received a notice for failing to maintain hygiene standards. These inspections highlight ongoing concerns about food safety and sanitation practices within the city's hospitality sector.
