Fresh violence in Manipur has led to the deaths of four people, escalating tensions in the state capital, Imphal. Local residents placed the bodies of two deceased individuals outside Chief Minister N. Biren Singh's residence to protest an alleged attack on villagers collecting firewood. Security forces responded with tear gas to disperse the crowd. The incident occurred near the border of Imphal East and Kangpokpi districts, with Kuki militants suspected of carrying out the attack. Four others were injured, and three remain missing.
