Amit Shah Urges BIMSTEC Nations To Prevent Terror Networks Finding Haven

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called for enhanced regional cooperation among BIMSTEC countries to combat terrorism and organised crime. Addressing the first BIMSTEC Home Ministers' Meeting, Shah stressed a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and urged collective resolve to prevent terror networks from establishing bases or mobilising resources. He also highlighted the need for cooperation in mutual legal assistance and extradition to bring criminals to justice. Shah further emphasised a region-wide approach to tackle narcotics smuggling, noting its links to organised crime and terrorist financing.

केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने आतंकवाद और संगठित अपराध से लड़ने के लिए बिम्सटेक देशों के बीच क्षेत्रीय सहयोग बढ़ाने का आह्वान किया है। पहले बिम्सटेक गृह मंत्रियों की बैठक को संबोधित करते हुए, शाह ने आतंकवाद के प्रति शून्य-सहिष्णुता नीति पर जोर दिया और आतंकी नेटवर्कों को ठिकाना बनाने या संसाधन जुटाने से रोकने के लिए सामूहिक संकल्प का आग्रह किया। उन्होंने अपराधियों को न्याय दिलाने के लिए आपसी कानूनी सहायता और प्रत्यर्पण में सहयोग की आवश्यकता पर भी प्रकाश डाला। शाह ने नशीले पदार्थों की तस्करी से निपटने के लिए एक राष्ट्रव्यापी दृष्टिकोण पर भी जोर दिया, जो संगठित अपराध और आतंकवादी वित्तपोषण से जुड़ा हुआ है।
