Devikulam forest range in Idukki, Kerala, has become a dangerous area due to recurring wild elephant attacks, with three people losing their lives in the last four months. The latest victim, Shiv Kumar, a migrant labourer from Madhya Pradesh, was trampled to death by a suspected tusker near Santhanpara. Previously, S. Ochappan and Mari were also killed in similar incidents. The Forest Department will provide compensation to the bereaved families.
