The Kerala High Court has directed the State Bank of India (SBI) to refund ₹3.73 lakh to a victim of cyberfraud. The court found the victim entitled to the refund because she reported the fraudulent transaction to the bank and police promptly. Despite the victim immediately blocking her account and reporting the incident, the bank failed to recredit the siphoned amount. The court noted that even after the fraudster was identified, SBI took no further action, leading to the directive for a full refund.
