Hindustan Times · business
Air India is rerouting more Europe and US-bound flights from Delhi to Mumbai due to the ongoing closure of Pakistani airspace. CEO Tewolde Gebremariam stated this shift is necessary to mitigate the impact on the airline's western network originating from the capital. While flights to Europe and the US will continue from Delhi, a larger portion of capacity will now be directed through Mumbai. The airline is also exploring Bengaluru as a potential third international hub to expand its global connectivity and regain overseas market share.
