DMK Refuses to Join Congress Protests After INDIA Bloc Exit

The DMK stated on Monday that it has no obligation to join protests organised by the Congress, citing betrayal by the Congress for political gain as the reason for leaving the INDIA bloc. The party dismissed claims that its absence from protests was due to fear of the BJP. The DMK accused Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president Manickam Tagore of criticising the DMK while aligning with a leader they deem lacking courage. The DMK asserted its history of strong alliances against the BJP and warned Tagore against further criticism.

डीएमके ने सोमवार को कहा कि कांग्रेस द्वारा आयोजित विरोध प्रदर्शनों में शामिल होने की उसकी कोई बाध्यता नहीं है। पार्टी ने कांग्रेस पर राजनीतिक लाभ के लिए धोखा देने का आरोप लगाते हुए INDIA गठबंधन से अलग होने का कारण बताया। डीएमके ने भाजपा से डरने की वजह से विरोध प्रदर्शनों से अनुपस्थित रहने के दावों को खारिज कर दिया। डीएमके ने तमिलनाडु कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष मणिकम टैगोर पर डीएमके की आलोचना करने का आरोप लगाया, जबकि वे ऐसे नेता के साथ जुड़े हुए हैं जिन्हें वे कायर मानते हैं। डीएमके ने भाजपा के खिलाफ मजबूत गठबंधनों के अपने इतिहास पर जोर दिया और टैगोर को आगे आलोचना से आगाह किया।
