NCLT Declares Videocon Promoter Venugopal Dhoot Bankrupt Over ₹12,668 Crore SBI Dues

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Mumbai has declared Videocon promoter Venugopal Dhoot bankrupt due to ₹12,668 crore in dues owed to the State Bank of India (SBI). The tribunal appointed Asish Narayan as the bankruptcy trustee and ordered Dhoot to submit his financial details within seven days. This declaration follows the rejection of Dhoot's proposed ₹600-crore repayment plan, which creditors found unreliable due to its dependence on a real-estate project. The NCLT terminated Dhoot's personal insolvency resolution process after the plan failed to secure approval.

मुंबई में National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) ने State Bank of India (SBI) के ₹12,668 करोड़ के बकाये के कारण Videocon प्रमोटर वेणुगोपाल धूत को दिवालिया घोषित कर दिया है। ट्रिब्यूनल ने Asish Narayan को दिवालियापन ट्रस्टी नियुक्त किया है और धूत को सात दिनों के भीतर अपनी वित्तीय जानकारी जमा करने का आदेश दिया है। यह घोषणा धूत की ₹600 करोड़ की प्रस्तावित पुनर्भुगतान योजना को खारिज करने के बाद आई है, जिसे लेनदारों ने एक रियल-एस्टेट परियोजना पर निर्भर होने के कारण अविश्वसनीय पाया था। योजना को मंजूरी नहीं मिलने के बाद NCLT ने धूत की व्यक्तिगत दिवालियापन समाधान प्रक्रिया समाप्त कर दी।
