BMW Q3 Profit Drops 15% Amidst Intense China Competition

BMW reported a 15% year-on-year decline in third-quarter net profit, falling to 1.45 billion euros, as intensifying competition from Chinese automakers and rising costs impacted the German luxury carmaker. Revenue also declined nearly 6% to 30.45 billion euros. The company issued its second profit warning for 2026, citing expenses from production ramp-ups and severance payments. BMW's vehicle deliveries in China plunged 24.8% in the third quarter, contributing to a 6.3% global delivery drop.

BMW ने बताया कि तीसरी तिमाही में उसका शुद्ध लाभ साल-दर-साल 15% घटकर 1.45 अरब यूरो हो गया। चीनी ऑटोमेकर्स से बढ़ती प्रतिस्पर्धा और बढ़ते खर्चों ने जर्मन लग्जरी कार निर्माता को प्रभावित किया। राजस्व भी लगभग 6% घटकर 30.45 अरब यूरो रहा। कंपनी ने 2026 के लिए दूसरी बार मुनाफे की चेतावनी जारी की, जिसमें उत्पादन बढ़ाने और विच्छेद भुगतानों से होने वाले खर्चों का हवाला दिया गया। तीसरी तिमाही में चीन में BMW की वाहन डिलीवरी 24.8% गिर गई, जिससे वैश्विक डिलीवरी में 6.3% की गिरावट आई।
