She reported that when she complained to her husband and mother-in-law, she was severely beaten. The family also allegedly demanded dowry of ₹5 lakh and a car, despite a ₹25 lakh dowry already spent on the wedding. The situation escalated when her in-laws allegedly filmed her changing clothes.
