Indian Bank May Waive Acquiring Charges on UPI MDR to Aid Merchants

Indian Bank is considering waiving acquiring bank charges on MDR transactions to ease the burden on merchants. The proposed MDR of 0.4% for Person-to-Merchant (P2M) UPI transactions, effective, includes a 0.28% share for acquiring banks.
