Blockchain analysis firm TRM Labs has attributed a massive cryptocurrency theft of approximately $6.36 billion from Binance to North Korean hackers. The firm stated that an attacker moved the funds out of Binance wallets across ten blockchains in about 20 minutes. TRM Labs identified the attacker as "TraderTraitor," North Korea's elite hacking unit, based on strong on-chain and off-chain intelligence. This attribution is made with high confidence, highlighting the persistent threat of state-sponsored cybercrime in the digital asset space.
