The development follows protests where MP Omraje Nimbalkar was heckled for defecting to the Shiv Sena. Nimbalkar defended his move, stating he remains connected to his constituents and supports student concerns over exam irregularities. Protesters have been agitating for five days, with opposition leaders visiting the site. एम.एन.एस. प्रमुख राज ठाकरे सोमवार को पुणे में महाराष्ट्र लोक सेवा आयोग (एम.पी.एस.सी.) परीक्षाओं में अधिक पारदर्शिता और इसके अध्यक्ष के इस्तीफे की मांग को लेकर विरोध प्रदर्शन में शामिल होंगे। यह घटनाक्रम ऐसे विरोध प्रदर्शनों के बाद हुआ है जहाँ एम.पी. से ओमराजे निंबाळकर को शिवसेना में जाने के लिए घेरा गया था। निंबाळकर ने अपने कदम का बचाव करते हुए कहा कि वह अपने मतदाताओं से जुड़े हुए हैं और परीक्षा अनियमितताओं पर छात्रों की चिंताओं का समर्थन करते हैं। प्रदर्शनकारी पांच दिनों से आंदोलन कर रहे हैं, और विपक्षी नेताओं ने भी घटनास्थल का दौरा किया है।
