India's markets regulator, Sebi, has received approximately 3,500 comments on proposed changes to its closing auction framework. Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey stated this on Thursday. The closing auction determines a stock's closing price under the CAS framework, implemented on August 3 for futures and options contracts. However, the new process has caused significant volatility in derivatives prices on expiry days, leading to this review. Sebi aims to implement the changes swiftly.
