The Punjab and Haryana High Court has stopped judicial officers in Rohtak from hearing bail applications in a multi-crore real estate fraud case. The court criticised local police for allegedly trying to shield real culprits involved in systematic frauds. The bench noted that real estate developers often misappropriate funds from buyers, projecting it as contractual disputes. The investigation is now being conducted by a Special Investigation Team, and the Haryana government has been directed to appoint a senior IPS officer to head the probe.

पंजाब और हरियाणा हाई कोर्ट ने रोहतक के न्यायिक अधिकारियों को मल्टी-करोड़ रियल एस्टेट धोखाधड़ी मामले में जमानत याचिकाओं पर सुनवाई करने से रोक दिया है। कोर्ट ने स्थानीय पुलिस की आलोचना की कि वे कथित तौर पर व्यवस्थित धोखाधड़ी में शामिल असली दोषियों को बचाने की कोशिश कर रहे थे। बेंच ने कहा कि रियल एस्टेट डेवलपर अक्सर खरीदारों से फंड का दुरुपयोग करते हैं, इसे संविदा संबंधी विवाद के रूप में पेश करते हैं। जांच अब एक विशेष जांच दल (SIT) द्वारा की जा रही है, और हरियाणा सरकार को जांच का नेतृत्व करने के लिए एक वरिष्ठ IPS अधिकारी नियुक्त करने का निर्देश दिया गया है।
