Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has made a comeback to the Indian T20I squad after a gap of 1425 days, last playing in November 2022. He was included in the playing XI for the fifth and final T20 match against West Indies in Bengaluru. Despite Arshdeep Singh being initially injured, he recovered and retained his place. Fast bowler Mayank Yadav and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy were dropped from the team, with Shivam Dube returning. The match was reduced to nine overs per side due to rain.
