The company eliminated approximately 3,300 roles, nearly 10% of its global workforce, to reinvest savings back into the business. Khosrowshahi stated that reducing prices is a top priority, alongside improving selection and continuing growth programs. These layoffs, the largest since the pandemic, aim to increase speed and spending flexibility amidst competition from robotaxi rivals.
