Human Rights Panel Seeks GLADA Response on Ground

The Punjab State Human Rights Commission has issued a show-cause notice to the chief administrator of Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA). This action follows alleged non-compliance with repeated directions regarding the poor condition of a GLADA ground. Social activist Arvind Sharma had filed a complaint about the unhygienic state of the ground, citing ash and waste. The commission has ordered the chief administrator to appear personally and explain the reasons for non-compliance, with the next hearing scheduled for November 20.

पंजाब राज्य मानवाधिकार आयोग ने ग्रेटर लुधियाना एरिया डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी (GLADA) के मुख्य प्रशासक को कारण बताओ नोटिस जारी किया है। यह कार्रवाई GLADA मैदान की खराब हालत को लेकर बार-बार दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन न करने के आरोपों के बाद हुई है। सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता अरविंद शर्मा ने मैदान में राख और कचरे की वजह से गंदगी की शिकायत की थी। आयोग ने मुख्य प्रशासक को व्यक्तिगत रूप से पेश होकर अनुपालन न करने के कारण बताने का आदेश दिया है, अगली सुनवाई 20 नवंबर को होगी।
