Hindustan Times · politics
Farmers' organisations are planning a sustained nationwide protest to protect democratic rights and the right to vote, with a major mobilisation set for November 26. AIKS general secretary Vijoo Krishnan stated the movement will focus on grassroots mobilisation rather than solely in Delhi. While not formally joining the CJP protest, farmers' groups will seek coordinated action on the issue of alleged voter deletions. The movement will also continue pursuing its own demands, including a legal guarantee for MSP and opposition to free-trade agreements.
