Ukraine has reported Russian strikes on the northeastern city of Kharkiv, just hours after former US President Donald Trump announced an "energy ceasefire" between the parties. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia violated the claimed ceasefire overnight, with at least 12 people reportedly injured in attacks on energy facilities in Kharkiv. Zelenskyy expressed readiness to support such a ceasefire if backed by security guarantees and American involvement to ensure Russian compliance. He indicated Ukraine would respond if Russia did not agree to the energy ceasefire.
