Andhra Pradesh's ruling NDA coalition, comprising TDP, BJP, and JSP, has committed to providing over 34% representation for Backward Classes (BCs) in upcoming local body elections. This commitment exceeds the 28.18% average reservation recommended by the Rajiv Ranjan Mishra Commission report. Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu stated that where statutory reservations fall short, coalition partners will offer additional opportunities through party nominations. The government aims to protect BCs' constitutional rights and expand their political participation within legal frameworks.

आंध्र प्रदेश की सत्ताधारी NDA गठबंधन, जिसमें TDP, BJP और JSP शामिल हैं, ने आने वाले स्थानीय निकाय चुनावों में पिछड़ा वर्ग (BCs) के लिए 34% से ज़्यादा प्रतिनिधित्व देने का वादा किया है। यह प्रतिबद्धता राजीव रंजन मिश्रा आयोग की रिपोर्ट में अनुशंसित 28.18% औसत आरक्षण से ज़्यादा है। कृषि मंत्री K. Atchannaidu ने कहा कि जहाँ वैधानिक आरक्षण कम पड़ेगा, वहीं गठबंधन पार्टनर्स पार्टी नॉमिनेशन के ज़रिए अतिरिक्त अवसर देंगे। सरकार का लक्ष्य BCs के संवैधानिक अधिकारों की रक्षा करना और कानूनी ढाँचे के भीतर उनकी राजनीतिक भागीदारी बढ़ाना है।
