More than 3,600 midday meal cooks in government schools across Buxar district have not received their honorarium for the past four months. This prolonged delay has caused significant financial hardship for many cooks, who come from economically weaker families and depend on the payment for routine expenses. Some cooks highlighted their struggles to meet household and medical costs due to the non-payment.

बक्सर जिले के सरकारी स्कूलों में 3,600 से ज़्यादा मिड-डे मील रसोइयों को पिछले चार महीनों से उनका मानदेय नहीं मिला है। इस लंबी देरी की वजह से कई रसोइयों को भारी आर्थिक तंगी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है, क्योंकि वे आर्थिक रूप से कमज़ोर परिवारों से हैं और रोज़मर्रा के खर्चों के लिए इस भुगतान पर निर्भर करती हैं। कुछ रसोइयों ने भुगतान न होने के कारण घरेलू और मेडिकल खर्चों को पूरा करने में अपनी मुश्किलों को बताया।
