Farmers in Bhagalpur, Bihar, are increasingly cultivating cash crops like baby corn, which offers high profits with low investment. Pawan Upadhyay from Pirpainti pioneered baby corn farming, inspiring many others in the region. This crop matures in just three months, allowing for two harvests and thus doubling income potential. Additionally, no part of the baby corn plant goes to waste, as the stalks can be used as fodder and the cobs are sold at good prices, even to hotels.

बेबी कॉर्न की खेती से किसानों को दोगुना मुनाफा

बिहार के भागलपुर में किसान बेबी कॉर्न जैसी नकदी फसलों की खेती की ओर बढ़ रहे हैं, जिससे कम निवेश में ज्यादा मुनाफा हो रहा है। पीरपैंती के पवन उपाध्याय ने बेबी कॉर्न की खेती शुरू की और अब इलाके के कई किसान उनसे प्रेरित हो रहे हैं। यह फसल सिर्फ तीन महीने में तैयार हो जाती है, जिससे साल में दो बार फसल ली जा सकती है और आय दोगुनी हो जाती है। साथ ही, बेबी कॉर्न का कोई भी हिस्सा बेकार नहीं जाता, डंठल पशुओं के चारे के काम आते हैं और भुट्टे अच्छे दामों पर बिकते हैं, यहाँ तक कि होटलों में भी।
