केरल के मुख्यमंत्री वी डी सतीसन ने राज्य की स्वास्थ्य टास्क फोर्स और स्पाइनल मस्कुलर एट्रोफी (SMA) के लिए एक महंगी आयातित दवा को सस्ते जेनेरिक विकल्प से बदलने के फैसले का बचाव किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार इलाज की लागत कम करने और वैश्विक स्वास्थ्य नवाचारों को एकीकृत करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। सीएम ने इस आरोप को खारिज कर दिया कि टास्क फोर्स निजीकरण को बढ़ावा देती है, और बीमारी की रोकथाम और शीघ्र पता लगाने में इसकी भूमिका पर जोर दिया।
