Odisha HC Quashes ₹696 Cr Demand, Sets Aside ₹1,473 Cr Notice to JSW Steel

ओडिशा हाई कोर्ट ने जोडा, ओडिशा के खनन अधिकारियों द्वारा JSW स्टील पर लगाए गए ₹696 करोड़ के जुर्माने को रद्द कर दिया है। अदालत ने कंपनी के खिलाफ ₹1,473 करोड़ की एक अलग मांग को भी खारिज कर दिया। JSW स्टील ने इन मांगों को चुनौती दी थी, जो उसके जाजंग आयरन ओर ब्लॉक से खनिज प्रेषण में कमी से संबंधित थीं। अदालत के फैसले के आलोक में अधिकारियों को दोनों मामलों पर फिर से विचार करने का निर्देश दिया गया है। इस फैसले से स्टील निर्माता को महत्वपूर्ण वित्तीय राहत मिली है।
