Karnataka CM to Discuss Drought Despite BJP

Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced that the state legislature will discuss the drought situation and farmer issues during a special session. This discussion will proceed regardless of cooperation from BJP legislators, whom the CM accused of hindering previous sessions. The session will also address the K. Kasturirangan Committee report. Shivakumar plans to lead a delegation to New Delhi seeking drought relief funds from the Union government.

कर्नाटक के मुख्यमंत्री डी. के. शिवकुमार ने कहा कि राज्य विधानसभा में सूखे की स्थिति और किसानों के मुद्दों पर एक विशेष सत्र में चर्चा होगी। यह चर्चा बीजेपी विधायकों के सहयोग के बिना भी होगी, जिन पर सीएम ने पिछले सत्रों में बाधा डालने का आरोप लगाया। सत्र में के. कस्तूरीरंगन समिति की रिपोर्ट पर भी बात होगी। शिवकुमार केंद्र सरकार से सूखे से राहत के लिए फंड मांगने दिल्ली एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल का नेतृत्व करने की योजना बना रहे हैं।
