Four police personnel, including Aland Police Inspector Sharanabasappa Kodla, have been suspended for alleged lapses in handling a case involving the seizure and release of a vehicle transporting Public Distribution System (PDS) rice illegally. The vehicle was seized on September 28 night but allegedly released without registering a case, reportedly after a monetary transaction of about ₹1 lakh. An internal inquiry found lapses in duty and irregularities, leading to disciplinary action against the inspector and three other personnel.
