A historic Washington, DC building, formerly housing a major FBI office, has been placed under a court-appointed receiver due to nine months of missed loan payments. The Woodies Building's outstanding debt has climbed to $221.6 million from its original $204.1 million. This situation arose after the FBI vacated approximately 200,000 square feet of space. Despite securing new leases with tenants like Netflix and Barnes & Noble, the property's lender initiated legal action over the unpaid debt. The receiver will now oversee the building's operations and finances.
