Vizag ITIs to Get Rs 200 Crore Upgrade Under PM-SETU Scheme

Four government industrial training institutes in Visakhapatnam will be upgraded under the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU) scheme, with an approved investment of Rs 200 crore. This initiative aims to modernize training facilities, update courses, and enhance practical training to boost youth employability. ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has partnered with the Centre and Andhra Pradesh government for implementation. The project, managed by a special purpose vehicle where AM/NS India will hold a majority stake, will be executed with NAMTECH as the academic partner.

प्रधान मंत्री स्किलिंग एंड एम्प्लॉयबिलिटी ट्रांसफॉर्मेशन थ्रू अपग्रेडेड आईटीआई (PM-SETU) योजना के तहत विशाखापत्तनम में चार सरकारी औद्योगिक प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों को ₹200 करोड़ के स्वीकृत निवेश के साथ अपग्रेड किया जाएगा। इस पहल का उद्देश्य प्रशिक्षण सुविधाओं को आधुनिक बनाना, पाठ्यक्रमों को अपडेट करना और युवाओं की रोजगार क्षमता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए व्यावहारिक प्रशिक्षण को बढ़ाना है। ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) ने कार्यान्वयन के लिए केंद्र और आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार के साथ साझेदारी की है। यह परियोजना, जिसे एक विशेष प्रयोजन वाहन द्वारा प्रबंधित किया जाएगा जिसमें AM/NS India की बहुमत हिस्सेदारी होगी, NAMTECH को शैक्षणिक भागीदार के रूप में लेकर निष्पादित की जाएगी।
