HBO's upcoming Harry Potter television adaptation is set to be one of the network's most expensive productions, with an estimated budget of USD 201 million. Newly filed financial accounts in the UK reveal the scale of investment, placing the series alongside 'Game of Thrones' and 'The Last of Us' in production expenditure. The first season, expected to premiere during Christmas week, has reportedly incurred significant costs through Plum Jam Productions. This substantial budget suggests a detailed reimagining of J.K. Rowling's beloved books for the television format.
