Nine Transgender Individuals Booked For Robbing Transgender Person Of ₹6.7 Lakh

Nine transgender individuals have been booked by Kothrud police in Pune for allegedly assaulting and robbing a 30-year-old transgender person of ₹6.7 lakh. The accused also reportedly threatened the complainant with religious conversion. The incident occurred, when the suspects allegedly entered the complainant's house, made derogatory remarks, and demanded money. Police have registered a case under the Maharashtra Freedom of Religion Act, the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019, and robbery charges.

पुणे के कोथरुड पुलिस ने 30 वर्षीय एक किन्नर व्यक्ति से कथित तौर पर ₹6.7 लाख की लूटपाट करने और मारपीट करने के आरोप में नौ किन्नरों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है। आरोपियों ने कथित तौर पर शिकायतकर्ता को धर्म परिवर्तन की धमकी भी दी थी। यह घटना तब हुई जब संदिग्ध कथित तौर पर शिकायतकर्ता के घर में घुस गए, अपमानजनक टिप्पणी की और पैसे की मांग की। पुलिस ने महाराष्ट्र धार्मिक स्वतंत्रता अधिनियम, ट्रांसजेंडर व्यक्ति (अधिकारों का संरक्षण) अधिनियम, 2019 और लूटपाट के आरोपों के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है।
