Delhi Police Denies CJP Protest Permit at Jantar Mantar

Delhi Police has denied permission for a protest by the CJP at Jantar Mantar, citing Section 163 of the BNSS and late notification. The CJP had applied to protest against CEC Gyanesh Kumar. Police stated that the CJP did not follow guidelines requiring 10 days' notice and had previously violated assurances. Consequently, 57 metro stations will have restricted entry/exit, and some trains arriving in Delhi between 4 AM and 2 PM have been cancelled.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने BNSS की धारा 163 का हवाला देते हुए और देर से सूचना मिलने के कारण जंतर मंतर पर सीजेपी के विरोध प्रदर्शन की अनुमति देने से इनकार कर दिया है। सीजेपी ने सीईसी ज्ञानेश कुमार के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन के लिए आवेदन किया था। पुलिस ने कहा कि सीजेपी ने 10 दिन की पूर्व सूचना की आवश्यकता वाले दिशानिर्देशों का पालन नहीं किया था और पहले भी आश्वासनों का उल्लंघन किया था। नतीजतन, 57 मेट्रो स्टेशनों पर प्रवेश/निकास प्रतिबंधित रहेगा, और सुबह 4 बजे से दोपहर 2 बजे के बीच दिल्ली आने वाली कुछ ट्रेनें रद्द कर दी गई हैं।
