The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Thursday demolished approximately 14 temporary structures, including shops and unauthorized meat stalls, near Karbala Chowk on the Bahubazar route. This anti-encroachment drive in Ward 16 targeted commercial encroachments on government land and road flanks that were causing significant traffic congestion. The operation also involved removing temporary sheds and a dilapidated boundary wall, improving access to a public toilet. The RMC stated that such drives will continue across the city to clear public land, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance traffic management for commuters.

रांची नगर निगम (RMC) ने गुरुवार को बहूबजार मार्ग पर करबला चौक के पास लगभग 14 अस्थायी ढांचों को गिरा दिया, जिनमें दुकानें और अनधिकृत मांस की दुकानें शामिल थीं। वार्ड 16 में अतिक्रमण विरोधी इस अभियान का लक्ष्य सरकारी जमीन और सड़क के किनारों पर हुए व्यावसायिक अतिक्रमण थे, जिनसे काफी यातायात जाम हो रहा था। इस अभियान में अस्थायी शेड और एक जर्जर सीमा दीवार को भी हटाया गया, जिससे सार्वजनिक शौचालय तक पहुंच बेहतर हुई। RMC ने कहा कि सार्वजनिक भूमि को खाली कराने, बाधाओं को कम करने और यात्रियों के लिए यातायात प्रबंधन को बेहतर बनाने के लिए शहर भर में ऐसे अभियान जारी रहेंगे।
