Gujarat to Boost Tourism With Sports and Homestays

Gujarat aims to expand its tourism ecosystem by focusing on sports events, village homestays, cultural festivals, and cinematic tourism, designating 2026-27 as the ‘Gujarat Tourism Year’. The state will host global fitness events like HYROX and Ironman to promote sports tourism, with HYROX scheduled in Gandhinagar and Ironman in Ahmedabad. A new digital portal for film shoot permissions has been launched to streamline the process. The government also plans to develop homestays in 100 villages and offer funding to promote international visitors to local festivals and eco-tourism sites.

गुजरात खेल आयोजनों, ग्राम होमस्टे, सांस्कृतिक उत्सवों और सिनेमाई पर्यटन पर ध्यान केंद्रित करके अपने पर्यटन पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र का विस्तार करने का लक्ष्य रखता है, और 2026-27 को ‘गुजरात पर्यटन वर्ष’ के रूप में नामित किया है। राज्य खेल पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए HYROX और Ironman जैसे वैश्विक फिटनेस आयोजनों की मेजबानी करेगा, जिसमें HYROX गांधीनगर में और Ironman अहमदाबाद में निर्धारित है। शूटिंग की अनुमति के लिए एक नया डिजिटल पोर्टल लॉन्च किया गया है ताकि प्रक्रिया को सुव्यवस्थित किया जा सके। सरकार 100 गांवों में होमस्टे विकसित करने और स्थानीय उत्सवों और इको-टूरिज्म स्थलों पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय आगंतुकों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए धन देने की भी योजना बना रही है।
